In keeping time with my ever-so-infrequent updates, I will also update this journal page.  I have uploaded a couple of short stories I had written before.  Others may or may not follow, depending on how distracted I find myself before I forget that I was uploading things to DeviantArt.

Ever do I follow the fads of my own life, it seems.

Ah, well.  Enjoy what you can while it lasts, I suppose.  Or don't enjoy it.  You are equally free to do that as well, I suppose. ^_^;;

It occurred to me recently (like, yesterday) that I do a fair amount of taking photographs for fun, and I fancy myself sometimes successful on rare occasion at taking one or two that have some artistic merit; yet somehow it had until now eluded me that I do, in fact, have a DeviantArt account which would be perfect for sharing some of my pictographic exploits –– certainly the more visually appealing of them –– with the world.

I cannot for the life of me determine why it has thus far taken so very long indeed for me to realize that I could accomplish this, but in any case I have just now taken steps to remedy somewhat my previous negligence of means by which to share something I find beautiful. ^__^  I hope that you enjoy my fun as much as I do.

Hey, I haven't done anything (well, that's a bold-faced lie) in about four years, and now I'm doing something again!  It's a comic in Japanese.  It's more cute than funny, I'd say.  I need to translate it for everyone, but I'm torn about how I should translate it.

Rather, I'm torn about  whether I should TRANSLATE it, or just write normal English for the English dialog.  See, because there are things that Japanese people say that Americans, well, don't.  And it's cuter in Japanese, I think, so if I were to write it in English it wouldn't be a literal translation into Japanese.  But on the other hand I don't want people being all like, "Dude, that's not what it says, you suck at Japanese!"

Plus eventually it might be cool to offer these as part of a "Learn some more Japanese" option at a website, like if I learned how to do some Javascript and made it so that the translation of each word came up when you moused over it or something.  Then I'd need a literal translation, wouldn't I?  *sigh*  So many different choices.

Well, I'm not making any promises, but I broke out my sketch book again today, and started doodling, and something cool started to come from it.  I'm hoping to finish it and then I'll upload it! ^_^  It'll be Pen 'n Ink as the final, but before I add that, I may post up a pencil sketch of the un-tainted version.  Just in case.
